If you considered the Nokia 230 and the Nokia 222 budget phones, then the Nokia 105 is even cheaper. There are a number of reasons for this as we can see from the Nokia 105 specs listed above. The phone is very basic, however it has a nice clean design and with its large buttons, makes for a good phone for an older person.

Nokia 105

What can one get in the €20 range for a mobile phone today? Consider that this phone is very basic but it does have a nice clean design as also very easy to operate. It comes in blue as well as black and apparently cyan, however I have not seen that one. The blue looks good as it is two toned and makes the phone stand out. Good for those with poor eyesight.

As a budget mobile phone it comes only with 2G connectivity (GSM 900 / 1800). There is no EDGE or GPRS. The phone is small enough for your pocket at 108.5 x 45.5 x 14.1 mm (4.27 x 1.79 x 0.56 in) as well as light at only 69.8 g (2.47 oz). The Nokia 105 uses a mini-SIM and comes with a flashlight.

The screen is standard TFT, 65K colors with a low resolution at 128 x 128 pixels (~129 ppi pixel density) and makes the menu look a bit ugly. The screen size is also a bit small at only 1.4 inches (~12.8% screen-to-body ratio). The phone has 4 MB RAM and has no card slot like other budget phones. There is no camera on the phone and it only has vibration and polyphonic ringtones. Again no MP3 options. It does however sport a 3.5mm jack and loudspeaker.

There is an FM radio with a USB port only for charging. Safe to say there is no WiFi, Bluetooth,Java, Browser or GPS. There is no internet messenger or multimedia text options only normal SMS. Since the phone is low on options its battery is small which brings its weight down. The phone has a removable Li-Ion 800 mAh battery with a standby time of up to 840 h.

You can find the Nokia 105 user manual as well as basic settings such as ringtone change on the Nokia 105 on the sister website.
