The Snapdragon S4 MSM8627 has been used in the HTC range of mobile phones. The chipset is a mid range chipset and does not have all the features such as high resolution screen ability that other higher end chipset such as the Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 would offer. It is however better than the Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 Lite. The chipset was used in the HTC Windows Phone 8S range of mobile phones.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 Lite is mainly used for budget phones as the chipset and processor has been made less powerful. You will note from the specs and also from the use of the chipset that the cache levels are much lower compared to others.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960T is another processor made by Qualcomm that has been widely used by a number of manufacturers. Motorola was one of these and they used them in their Droid range of mobile phones. This was a similar chipset to the MSM8960DT which they had used extensively before.

The S4 Snapdragon processor you will find in the more high-end mobile phones, unlike the Snapdragon 200 which is mainly for the budget market. The Snapdragon S4 is good for most the demanding applications, including 1080p HD videos, visually intensive 3D games and video, as well as High-Definition video conferencing.
