Snapdragon 400 MSM8928

The Snapdragon 400 MSM8928 chipset has been used in a number of mobile phones since its release in 2013. The chipset was made for a quad core processor and hence you will find this chipset in many higher-end multimedia mobile phones. You can see the specs for the Snapdragon 4 on this website.

The chipset was made for the 4x ARM Cortex-A7 MPcore processor which could run to a maximum of 1.6 Ghz. The instruction set was based on the ARMv7 and used LPDDR2 SDRAM or LPDDR3 SDRAM. The memory runs at 800 MHz on this chipset. There is also a L2 cache on the processor of 1024 Kbyte of L2 cache. The chipset also offered GLONASS access and came with the well known Qualcomm Adreno 305 GPU for all the graphics processing.

Digital signal processing is done by a Hexagon QDSP6 processor and could also manage a 13.5 MP camera with 1080p video encoding and decoding. Bluetooth 4.0 was also added as standard. The chipset has been used on a number of mobile phones over the years including those listed below:

These phones are some of those which have used this chipset. You can see the specs for the chipset which has been added below for more information.
