  • 15. Scroll down. See under “Username,” enter your email address. Likewise under “Password,” enter your password. Under “SMTP server,” enter “smtp.gmail.com.”
  • 16. Tap “NEXT.” The information will be verified. If there’s an error message, verify the settings and tap “NEXT” again.
  • 17. Under “Sync frequency,” choose an option. Optionally, uncheck any undesired options. Then tap “NEXT.”
  • 18. Optionally, under “Account name (optional),” enter “Gmail.” Under “Your name,” enter your name. Tap “NEXT.”
  • 19. Choose “TAKE ME TO GMAIL.”
  • 20. The email account has been configured and is ready for use.
